Tobacco Sale Profits: NEW!
These two reports discuss the profitability of tobacco sales
at C-Stores/gas stations. The 2004 Report includes data from 2003
discussing the impact of taxes, and also notes that per the National
Association of Convenience Stores' 2003 State of the Industry Report,
cigarettes were the number one in-store product at 34.5% of sales, with
$40 billion total and over $300,000 per reporting store, and account for 62% of all cigarette sales.
